Acrylic Gap Sealant

 

Obaproof OBA 907 is a one-part, gun-applied and water-based acrylic sealant that cures to a flexible and tough rubber with good adhesion to porous surfaces without primer. It is also a harder, cost-efficient and environmentally friendly sealant that can be easily cleaned up with water and painted over after cure. These dispersion acrylic sealants are far more superior if compared to other caulking compounds, such as butyl mastics, oil-based mastics, etc.

Pot Life / Shelf life

Shelf life: Use within 12 months from date of production.

Storage

• Material should be stored in a dry and cool place between 5°C to 30°C.

Uses

• Suitable for cargo containers and cabins.
• General glazing: wood, concrete, marble, etc.
• DIY application: gutters, joints around doors and windows, skylights, air-conditioning.
• Energy-saving applications: to seal air draft around the air conditioner.

Surface Preparation

• Substrates must be clean, dry and free from grease, remove all dirt, oil, grease, detergents and loose materials.
• Mask smooth surface to simplify cleanup.

Application

• Use approved backup material in joint.
• Cut nozzle to desired size at 45° angle.
• Insert cartridge into caulking gun.
• Push sealant ahead for uniform bead.
• Tool within 20 minutes.
• Clean off excess sealant with water.

Curing Time

Drying Time
Oba-907 Acrylic Gap Sealant will tack free in approximately 20 minutes and will cure to a depth of 10mm in 7-14 days. Longer curing time may be necessary in cold and high humidity area.
