MS 609

Flexible Polyurethane Joint Sealant

 

Obaproof MS 609 is a low modulus, one component, flexible polyurethane joint sealant. When cured it will form a tough, flexible seal capable of cyclic expansion and compression movement. Obaproof MS 609 can be applied on external surfaces, exposable to UV and the normal weather condition. It is odourless and a non-sagging paste.

Storage

Material to be stored in a cool and dry place.

Surface Preparation

Substrates must be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove all dirt, oil, grease, detergents and loose material.

Application

• Cut tip off cartridge. Cut nozzle to desired size at 45° angle. Screw nozzle onto cartridge. Insert cartridge into caulking gun.
• Push sealant ahead for uniform bead.
• Clean off excess sealant with M.E.K. or Toluene before dry.

Curing Time

Skinning Time: Obaproof MS 609 will skin forming in approximately 20 minutes.
Curing Time: Touch free: 6 – 8 hours
Fully cure: 7 Days
Curing time by thickness: 2mm/24 hours

Note

• Uncured sealant may cause skin, eye and respiratory system irritation.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas.
• Use appropriate personal protection to avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• In case of eye contact or irritation, flush your eye immediately with running water for 15 minutes and get medical attention.
• In case of skin contact, wash affected areas with hand cleaner followed by soap in running water. For further health and safety information, consult the current material safety data sheet.

Safety

• Applicators are recommended to wear gloves during application.
• Incase of contact, wash the affected area with water and soap.
• No food or beverages allowed during application.
