Obaproof Skim Coat 168 Finish is a high-quality cement-based plaster specially developed to patch up undesirable holes or surface unevenness in walls and ceilings giving them a fine and smooth finish. It is normally used as a finish coat over Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base. As it is whiter, it can be treated as a base coat for painting works.

Surface Preparation

The substrate must be clean, free of dust, oil grease, etc. If it’s an uneven surface with a depth difference of more than 5mm, a mortar plaster is recommended to be used.

Application

Obaproof Skim Coat can be applied to a wide range of substrates such as:
• Plaster surface
• Hollow block wall
• Concrete wall and ceiling
• Lightweight panel & calcium silicate brick wall
• Lightweight block wall

Coverage

Approx. 0.9 – 1.0kg/m²/mm thickness

Mixing

Add Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base or Obaproof Skim Coat 168 Finish to the recommended amount of clean water by weight. Refer to the table for the recommended mixing ratio. An electrical mixer is recommended to stir for about 5 minS to obtain a homogeneous paste.

Safety

Avoid eye and skin contact as the product is alkaline. In case of eye contact, flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical help immediately.
