Surface Preparation
Clean the dusty surface, remove cement ash and trashed, ensure the surface is good to receive waterproofing.
Application
Before any waterproofing treatment, conduct a 24-hour structural ponding test, filling the water up to the construction joint in the vertical wall area and repairing any leaks with PU grouting injection. For the primer coat, mix 1 part Obaproof CM-700wp with 3 parts water, then apply a thin layer of primer at 0.2kg/m². After 30min+/-, apply the first coat of Obaproof WP-100HD (0.75kg/m²), even if the surface is wet but not ponding, stirring slowly with an electric mixer and adding up to 10% water if needed. For the second coat, stir the material again, ensuring the fibreglass net (if any) is fully covered by applying 1kg/m², and avoid exceeding 2kg/m/coat to prevent surface cracks and peeling. Allow the primer coat to cure for 1-2 hours, the first coat for 6-8 hours, and the second coat for 8 hours until fully cured, followed by a 24-hour water ponding test.
Curing Time
Primer coat: 30min+/-
1st coat: 6-8 hours.
2nd coat: 8 hours till fully cured.
Coverage
Obaproof WP-100HD are recommended for complete waterproofing.
• Bathroom & Kithcen: 1kg/m² per coat
• Roof, planter boxes, balconies, water tanks and basement: 1.5kg/m² per coat
Note
• A protective screed is required after the completion of Obaproof WP-100HD.
• Avoid being flushed by rainwater for 2 ex-hours after usage.
• The Obaproof WP-100HD avoids being insolated directly under the sun for a long time. Suggest a glazed protection layer (exp: sand syrup) on the Obaproof WP-100HD.
